Candidates Transferring into the CTI Induction Program
Candidates may move from one induction program to another within California as they meet competencies toward induction completion and a clear credential recommendation. A transportability document, program transcript, or official letter will verify induction completion progress from one program sponsor to another.
Candidates new to CTI who were previously enrolled in another induction program should contact their former program for a document to verify completion of Year 1 and share it with their current employer’s induction representative. This document should also be sent to ctisupport@rcoe.us. Proper verification for the first year of induction will confirm placement in Year 2 with CTI.
Some candidates may have year 1 or year 2 partial induction completion. The CTI credential care will evaluate transfer documentation for remaining induction completion.
Also, transfer candidates will retain the same placement as their initial enrollment in a California induction program. For example, if they are transferring as a year 1 candidate, they will retain their year 1 placement and will not be eligible for ECO placement.
Verification of CTI Induction Participation
Enrolled candidates may print a copy of their Navigate Candidate Completion Status Report and ILP as verification of their induction progress. This can be used for a transportability document or confirmation of induction status. If you are unable to access your completion status report, you may request verification of your CTI induction status by sending an email to ctisupport@rcoe.us. Please allow ten business days to process your request.
We will need the following information to proceed:
- Purpose of the verification
- To whom it should be addressed and mailing address or email
- Your name while enrolled with CTI
- Employing agency and school year(s) during your induction period.
Please review Extension By Appeal if verification is required to support an extension appeal application to CTC.
